My HKNet ADSL broadband link has been down since around 05:00 hours this morning. I get a static IP address with this line, from which I run my email server for the rollingegg.net domain, so I don’t have access to any rollingegg.net email since this morning. I also have problem accessing hkmedia.com email, ‘cos access to the IMAP server is restricted to my static IP address. I am connected to the Internet via my PCCW Netvigator broadband right now, which I use for backup.
Fortunately, email for the rollingegg.net domain is backed up by my domain host, so as soon as the link is up, all the emails sent since this morning will be transferred to my email server for delivery.
For no reasons the OpenBSD firewall/router was also resetted. I am not sure whether the two events are related.
Maybe I really should use my collo equipment to host my email server.
