Just acquired a new Ericsson R520m from one of the many shops in Ap Liu Street, for merely HK$348. No warranty except swap within 7 days if it doesn’t work. The price certainly couldn’t be beaten.
This must be one of the most underestimated mobile phones. It has GPRS, Bluetooth, IrDA, calendar, speaker phone (which deactivates if you stick something in front of the speaker, nice touch), easy to read big screen and nice big buttons. I am so tempted to get another one for my own use.
I also bought a 2nd hand IBM keyboard as reviewed here for a modest price of HK$80. It was manufactured by Lexmark, of 1993 vintage. There is a crack of about 1” along the bottom edge, but the keyboard is in perfect working order.
Well pleased.
