Upgrade was uneventful. Tons of improvements, refinements and new features. Exposé works so well, expect to see it on all GUIs in due course.

Mail also gets an overhaul, including message threading support and a better junk filter.

Performance appears to be slightly better, but I have not yet stressed my TiBook so can’t really tell.

I’ll buy a PowerBook with 15-inch, Combo drive version and I get good price of 14xxx. But I have to wait since it is out of stock.

    Good for you.

Note the problem w/ the new 15” PB screen. It will be resolved shortly, and possibly with the next lot. Good idea to check nonetheless. http://www.siliconvalley.com/mld/siliconvalley/7148746.htm

I paid more than double that price for my TiBook, so I’d say your price is very good.

It is worth the money (HK$2,xxx) to get the extended AppleCare (three years warranty total). Peace of mind for most of the lifetime of the computer. Althou I bought it when I bought the computer (it was on special at the time), I received a letter from Apple asking me to purchase the extended AppleCare near the end of the 1 year warranty, so this appears to be deferrable. (Money in my pocket beats money in your pocket.)

Consider carefully your RAM options. There are only 2 RAM slots, and you may not want a 256M RAM module to take up one of them, so it might be worth it upgrading to ONE 512M RAM module, which was what I did.
