Sorry, I accidently posted the above uncomplete comment.
Anyway, I meant to say was, the server room was designed to be completely sealed with its own individual A/C and Halon gas fire extinguishing system seperated from the office’s main. That was the time when Halon was still legal and the best there is, only that the gas is toxic and that’s why the room had to be designed completely sealed off the rest of the office.
When the entire company’s work lie all within the servers and everybody’s dependent upon them, there is simply nothing more important than making sure absolutely nothing would happen to them. Period.
