TCH had this to say on Constitutional Reform in his 7th policy address.
By throwing the ball into the court of the Central Govt, he has just made his life and his job much harder, if not impossible.
He has officially applied a brake on the Constitutional Reform. The initial feeling of the middle class would be dire disappointment, followed by denial, then followed by acts of incooperation and revenge.
Here are my predictions for 2004:-
- As usual 6K-10K attendance in 4/6 Candlelight gathering in Victoria Park
- Over 10K attendance at 1/7 demonstration rally
- Over 80% voting rate in LegCo election
- “Long Hair” will get a LegCo seat if he runs for it
- The Pan-democrats will get over 40 seats in LegCo
- Economy will pick up again, althou the life of the poor and the under-privileged will get worse.
By passing the ball, he also risks jeopardizing the goodwill of the Central Govt.
