We want to go see HKPO x Sandy x Anthony. We normally go to concerts w/ Sylvian and Man, but they will be flying to Japan to see Bowie.
Just found out that Bowie will actually be in Hong Kong at the CEC on 14/3, and tickets are supposed to be on sale on 19/1, but there is absolutely nothing yet. Not that I’ll go, considering the high ticket price.
Last time we went to the CEC, it was Man who bought some six-packs and got us the “free” tickets for some joint event w/ tons of performers.
- Some members of the Shino (some Taiwanese chick who sings rather well and rocks like she’s going to suffer brain damage) fan club were sitting in front of us and one of them sad specimen was waving and shaking a self-made big “SHINO” lighted wireframe, hitting some unrelated lady sitting next to him in the head, and we were cracking outselves. Hilarious.
- Whenever some new act came up (as well as Chow Kai San, who was actually very good, althou hardly the “in” thing) folks would just all get up and flood (literally. It was quite a sight.) to the side corridors, chit-chating, talking on the mobile phones, and go to the restrooms. Hardly courtesy.
It is difficult to imagine that, “Hong Kong Asia’s World City” as TCH’s Govt likes to say, is pathetic in offering venues for big gigs.
