The iPod U2 SE is entirely not my cup of tea. OTOH, had I not already bought one, the DF SE would have been tempting.
Update(30/10): It’s mockery.

I Cracked Up…
October 27th, 2004 · Comments Off
and bought an iPod 40G last nite. Within 12 hours, Apple introduced the iPod Photo.
Yes I am happy w/ my purchase, and no I wouldn’t have bought the iPod Photo in any case. It is more expensive, and I don’t need a digital photo album on-the-go.

Lily! Bad Dog!
October 26th, 2004 · Comments Off
Yesterday afternoon on my way to pick up Jasper I bummed into Michael my younger brother walking Lily. Together we bummed into Morris who was being carted back home by his maid. I greeted them and Morris was showing interest in Lily. Suddenly Lily snapped away Morris’s bun! Morris wasn’t too pleased, and we were [...]

“Dumplings”
October 25th, 2004 · Comments Off
We got hold of “Dumplings” starring Miranda Yeung on VCD last week. This Cat III movie was much talked about when it was on in the cinemas, and we wanted to go but missed it.
Conceptually the movie was gross, and I totally agree with the classification.
I read some silly article somewhere on this movie, [...]

Shrek 2 on DVD
October 25th, 2004 · Comments Off
The Region 1 DVD for Shrek 2 isn’t supposed to be out until 5 November. I got my Region 3 DVD on Friday. Great fun and good laughs. Highly recommended.
However, I think Jasper enjoys the original Shrek more, for the fire-breathing dragon in it. No dragon in the Shrek 2 story.

Jasper’s nth Day at School
October 25th, 2004 · 1 Comment
It quickly settled down during his 2nd week. He only cried for the first 15 minutes after I left, then 10 minutes, then 5. Now he would attempt to not letting me go, and then get on w/ his normal routine in about 30 seconds. Mondays are exceptions, where he would cry for about one [...]

Switched Mobile Network

From Sunday to One2Free. I have been w/ Sunday for quite a few years now, and they have been okay. However, Sunday’s network doesn’t cover the IFC2 office building (coverage in the mall is fine), so I have been w/o mobile network coverage in our office since the beginning of 2004.
The transition went smoothly on [...]

The New Prince

I finished this book a couple of weeks ago.
Nice, short and to the point, this book is easy and fun to read. The author Choi considered the 1st of July March in 2003 the end of an era, and a good time to conclude TCH’s 7 years of rule. He wrote much about TCH and [...]

Jasper’s 4th and 5th Days of School
October 10th, 2004 · Comments Off
On Jasper’s 4th and 5th days of school I left soon after he finished breakfast at the kindergarten. He didn’t like it at all, and started crying for daddy. Like on previous days he was soon distracted and stopped, but after awhile he would start thinking about daddy and cry again. His appetite was good, [...]

I enjoyed it last night, but I think Sam enjoyed it much more than his audiences and fans.
Sam said to one of the audiences:-
How old are you? 15? Then how come you know me?

Che Guevara

Thanks to Long Hair and his trademark T-shirts, people are becoming interested in Che Guevara. Apparently Che T-shirts are all sold out in Temple Street!
There is also a new film “The Motorcycle Diaries” based on Che’s book of the same name, about a trip he took when he was young. I expect it to do [...]

Cry Baby Morris
October 6th, 2004 · Comments Off
Jasper’s classmate Morris started school back in September, so Morris should be at least a couple of months older. Apparently Morris was doing okay in his first month at school, but starting this week he was crying loud and pretty much non-stop. It got on this observer’s nerve a bit, so imagine the tremendous patience [...]

Jasper’s 3rd Day of School
October 6th, 2004 · Comments Off
I said goodbye to Jasper at around 09:45 this morning during his morning play session. I told him that I would be back before their lunch time. He appeared to take it well.
When I got back, his teachers told me that my absence soon got to Jasper, and he started crying a bit, but would [...]

To promote the .hk domain names, HKDNR organized a web design competition some time ago. The results are out, and for the time being the champion may be viewed here. The person who did it is an illustrator. It is basically a full Flash site, w/ relatively poor usability and no consideration for making good [...]

Jasper’s First Day at School
October 4th, 2004 · 4 Comments
Well, it’s actually a nursery-kindergarten.
Although he had been to the nursery a few time and spent a couple of pleasant sessions there, he was nervous on his way to school this morning. He didn’t want to go in at first, and needed me to hug him and assured him that I would be with [...]
