No problem getting Jasper to go to school in the morning. Not much progress with breakfast. I told him that I would be back soon before I left him at around 10:15, but soon afterwards he realized that I was gone and started crying for a bit. I got back at around 11:20. He wasn’t paying much attention to his singing class (probably because he didn’t know any of the songs) and when he saw me he started crying again wanting my comfort, refusing to let go.
Soon he had lunch and was back to his normal self quick enough, so I think his edgy-ness was due to him feeling hungry. After discussing it w/ the head teacher I am going to let him has his breakfast at home tomorrow.
Althou he was too excited to go to sleep in the beginning, he soon calmed down when he saw that all the kids around him had gone to sleep. After some patting he also fell asleep, so well done Jasper!
I went for a small afternoon tea meal and returned before the kids were scheduled to be woken, and Jasper was still fast asleep. He slept for about an hour and woke up w/o much fuss, and had two pieces of peanut butter sandwiches. He couldn’t concentrate too well during story time, but enjoyed his play time very much. In fact he enjoyed his play time so much that he didn’t want to leave.
So basically Jasper is doing his normal school hours on his 2nd day at school. However, it proves nothing, as a lot of kids would do alright for the first week or two but then absolutely hate going to school and cry non-stop for a whole month.
It’s more away time for me tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
