Thanks to Long Hair and his trademark T-shirts, people are becoming interested in Che Guevara. Apparently Che T-shirts are all sold out in Temple Street!
There is also a new film “The Motorcycle Diaries” based on Che’s book of the same name, about a trip he took when he was young. I expect it to do quite well at the box office.
Earlier this week there was an article in the HKEJ on Che. The author of said article was saying that, Che being a communist revolutionist who worked on overthrowing governments and training guerrilla fighters for most of his career, bought more sorrow and suffering than happiness to the people of South America.
Thinking alone the line of “the only good bug is a dead bug”, or “the only good communist is a dead communist”, Che being dead, is therefore a good communist. QED.
Adopting the same reasoning, Long Hair, being still alive, is therefore, which I think TCH and his govt would agree, bad.
