There was an article in Monday’s HKEJ on Gu Lang Yu 鼓浪嶼. Apparently the govt is going to turn it into a low density tourist island, by:-
- shutdown public facilities such as schools and hospitals to inconvenient the locals so they would move out,
- only allow people to move out but not in and
- major investment in the infrastructure to turn the island into a tourist island, and charge people RMB80+ to enter the island.
