My folks went away for the week, and Mike also went into camp, so there was nobody home. Lily our dog hates to be alone during the night, so mum asked me to sleep at their place to keep Lily company. For the last few days I went home for dinner, and go to my folks’ place to sleep. Taking care of Lily isn’t much easier than taking care of Jasper. With Jasper at least there are three adults looking after him.
Lily doesn’t sleep thru the night. She is also scared by thunder and lightning. Every night she would wake me up in the middle of the night. I haven’t had a real good night’s sleep. Awful.
And then for some reasons Internet access was erratic. I was leeching off the neighbour’s Netvigator service via a Wifi broadband router I loaned and installed for them. It was either the thunderstorm on early Tuesday morning, or the overheating router, I just wasn’t getting a good connection and was losing about 75% of my packets. Last night Internet was unusable. I tried to remote restart the router, then it just died. Crap.
Fortunately, my folks came back this afternoon, and I’ll be sleeping in my own bed tonight.

Why don’t you just take Lily to your house for a few days?

Lily being a Golden Retriever, sheds hair like there is no tomorrow, and the Lady of the House doesn’t like this at all. (She doesn’t mind the dog at all, just doesn’t want her in our house that’s all.)
