The two companies will share ‘their respective competencies to enhance competitiveness in digital cameras’. Samsung will bring digital image processing technologies, brand recognition and digital convergence technologies to the table, while Pentax, whose SLRs use Penta Prism technology, possesses a wide range of interchangeable lenses.
Digital image processing technologies? Samsung?
Brand recognition? Samsung? For LCD panels maybe. For cameras they are maybe slightly better than Benq. Maybe.
Digital convergence technologies? Huh? You talking about fitting a mobile phone into an SLR, like this?
Most DSLRs out there, except the cheapest ones, have a penta prism you moron who wrote the press release.
So are we going to see Samsung cameras switching from Schneider lenses to Pentax lenses?
