The new Apple MacBooks are here and they are awesome.
After getting the iMac, I am even more convinced that the laptop computer is the perfect form factor for a personal computer. I want to be able to jot down notes while I am reading on the sofa or on the dinning table or in the library, or while I am in a discussion with course mates or colleagues. I want to be able to do casual browsing in the sitting room while watching TV. My iMac is however forever stuck in my study with an undersize desk.
I love my iMac. In fact I love in so much I want to take it with me whereever I go. I want to be able to jot down notes while I am reading on the sofa or on the dinning table or in the library, and I want to be able to take it with me to discussions with course mates or colleagues. I also want to be able to do casual browsing in the sitting room while watching TV. Unfortunately this is impossible due to the iMac’s size and its reliance on mains power, so I am even more convinced that the laptop computer is the perfect form factor for a personal computer.
Unfortunately, a new laptop will have to wait at least another six months. Good thing the MacBook isn’t excessively expensive.
