November 13th, 2007 · Comments Off

We went to Dongguan over the weekend to see some museums. While walking thru the street of the city, one of our fellow group members pointed out to us the big bright smiles on the faces of two paupers.
I suppose when the general mood of a society is optimistic even the folks right at the [...]

The Ricoh Aficio FX200

November 6th, 2007 · Comments Off

Read about this special offer in the paper. B/W laser printer, B/W photocopier, B/W/colour fax and colour scanner all-in-one. Special price at HK$2,499. My employer uses Ricoh fax and photocopiers and they have been solid. I personally would prefer something with Postscript or PS emulation and duplex printing, but this looks like a reasonable deal.

November 3rd, 2007 · Comments Off

I first got this news from the radio. It didn’t mention what the sign/wording was on the T-shirts and postcards. The online versions of most local newspapers (except Apple Daily) also didn’t give the details. After a couple of days overseas Chinese newspapers started to reveal the sign/wording.

While we have to be constantly vigilant in [...]

I pulled my neck muscle on Wednesday night, and went to bed thinking that it would be okay the next morning. It got so bad I had to take the afternoon off. Got one of those nasty muscle injections in the backside in the evening so my neck and my backside both hurt.
The neck has [...]
