I have attended two field trips in the last few weeks and took my GPS with me. I created two Google Earth KML files from the GPS data and emailed the Guangzhou file to fellow member of the travel group. Except more than half of the group have absolutely no idea what Google Earth is and what I have been talking about.
So I attempted to create a screencast using Snapz Pro (which I got for cheap from some bundle) to illustrate using Google Earth and my data file to visualize our trip. The movie file however is so fscking huge it is not exactly consumable on the web. Nope not even after using Amazon S3 as media file delivery.
Crap.
